the war ended today.

I will be the first one to announce, live from Lebanon, to the world today...
that the war is over!

there has been too many people watching this cage.
So many that we ended up behaving like monkeys.
close to humans but not all the way there.
we are now giving out pictures of our deads.. of our torn children.. stories of our tragedies...
hoping someone will listen...

Monkey talk. They are watching but not quite understanding what's going on.

so i decided today that the war was over.
we will shut our eyes , our ears and our mouths and keep our tragedies to our souls...

all the tapes you are seeing on TV are fake; they are replaying our old tragedies.
there is enough to be replayed.

I today announce:
Our sea is no longer polluted
our roads no longer destroyed
and our villages no longer displaced

and most of all, the sales season has begun!

we have managed, with the breakthrough of our sovereign state, to fix all the damages within the past 24 hours of ceasefire!

Lebanon, green Lebanon, the land of the sea and mountain, the land of the cedars
calls on you visitors!
Come all of you tourists who have been watching our tragedies and revisit our glory now!

in response to my beloved audience's support, I will still be posting the wheather forecast everyday
and daily tips on where to wine and dine,
and where to shop until you literally drop...

I thank the world for its support for this war would have become ours had it lasted a few more days.

I hereby declare the end of of it all.

R, I am checking every day to see if you have written, I don't know if your blog has a count on it that shows you how many people stop by... I have directed a few people and post your blog address on my otherwise trivial blog on My Space, and on the bulletin board there... Don't stop sharing.

I'm C's friend, and seeing that you are well is important, and it is important to hear from "inside". I have no words to describe how it feels seeing the entire political, global community watch and seemingly watch whilst not even losing appetite.... I can't at all understand... I am just permanently speechless at the audacity of it all... at the blatand violation of so many rights and intenationally established rules and codes.... The world is such a farce and I wish it was funny but it is just the last straw pulled away leaving disillusionment in human moral and human rights that nobody honours....

I used to believe that there is some hope, and now (again) the world is just watching numbed, hardened by decades of cynicism and selfishness.....

I am so sorry...

I don't understand how leaders of the world don't wack Israel over the head for once... Blatand violations left, right and center... What will happen to all of us if we watch some of us killed heartlessly, pointlessly in cold blood?

People just don't seem to understand,... we are all mad eof flesh and blood, all have dreams and fears, and what we let happen to some of us can so easily happen to all of us. Some violations here, some there and soon we no longer know that once there were rights and codes to honour...

The apathy kills..
